About the Author
DOROTHY RUELLE-ELLIOTT
This is Dorothy’s first children’s book, but not the first time she has told stories of mysterious adventures and exciting trips. She was inspired to tell stories about Mrs. Buttons to her granddaughter Clairabelle years ago. Clairabelle was two when she listened with excitement to the many adventures of Mrs. Buttons and the children who surrounded her. Dorothy decided to write this children’s book.
Dorothy has a Bachelor of Science Degree from Madonna University with a double major in Sign Language and Psychology, along with a Masters of Arts Degree from Eastern Michigan University with a major in Guidance and Counseling. Both degrees have served her in working with and for people who have had troubled or challenging lives. Most precious to her is incorporating the escapades of her life into stories. Mrs. Buttons is her first children’s book and she is certain that it will not be her last.
She lives in Ypsilanti, Michigan, with her husband Pete and her dog Gracie. She has four sons, two daughters-in-law and four beautiful grandchildren: Jake, Zach, Clairabelle and Finley.
